Deductions

Deductions are a percentage reduction applied to the face value of a wager as the result of another runner being scratched from the race after the wager was struck.

Deductions are based upon the Fixed Odds price of the scratched runner at the time it was withdrawn and are applied in accordance with the Rules of Wagering 2005 – Scale of Deductions Table.

In the event there are multiple runners scratched from a race, a cumulative deduction (i.e. the total sum of the individual deductions) may be applied to winning wagers.
