Starting Price, also referred to as SP, is a bet type that allows you to back a runner to win and you will receive the odds for that competitor at the time betting on the race closes.

It is available on the vast majority of domestic and international ‘final field’ Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound races (where traditional Fixed Odds betting is offered), generally from the time fields for relevant meetings are first published on the TABtouch mobile platform.

The SP odds for the race winner will be shown on the results page for the event. When reviewing your resulted bets, successful wagers will also reference the SP odds.

In the event a price cannot be sourced, all SP bet placed on the race shall be declared void and refunded.

If a runner you have placed a SP bet upon is scratched, your wager will be refunded.

Deductions may apply to successful SP wagers in the event of a scratching(s) after betting has closed (i.e. where a competitor is declared a non-runner by order of the stewards officiating on-course).

SP betting is available on a win only, singles only, basis and standard dead heat rules apply.

Bets can be placed for as little as $0.50 and successful SP wagers will be paid out coinciding with the release of final dividends on the race (the result of any upheld protest will be taken into account).

Eligible TABtouch account holders transacting via the iPhone app, Android app or the www.tabtouch.mobi platform can access Starting Price.
